If you despair about yesterday,
Or dread the vague tomorrow,
There won’t be time for today;

Go and live today in such,
That you will relish it tomorrow,
And prepare for the next to,
Face with might what is to come;

Life is too short to hesitate,
Dream of desires,
To agonize over mistakes;

Don’t hold back,
Get what you yearn,
See faults undone,
Or least mend what you can;

Leave not regrets and hate,
If there was anything to leave,
Let it be memories of sweet,
And friends not enemies;

The end will come inevitably,
Which no mortal can thwart,
And when it does,
Lay to rest with a smile,
With a heart content.
